Basic Drawing & Watercolor
A beginning class, half will be devoted to basic drawing techniques and half to basic watercolor techniques. No previous drawing or painting experience is necessary. Learn a range of drawing skills using some exercises from “Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain” by Betty Edwards. Then we’ll go on to have some fun with color, learning about watercolors using a simple palette of the three primary colors. The emphasis will be on value studies, with both pencil and watercolor. If the weather is good you’ll have some time to go out on the beautiful Arrowmont campus to draw and paint from life. The instructor’s goal is to nurture your creativity by opening up the world of line and color with no pressure, just fun! Beginner. Tuition: $195
