2D Arts Studio Overview

Located in the historic West Building, the 2D Studio is a bright, multi-use room for all 2D related workshops at Arrowmont. Ideal for our printmaking, bookmaking, and painting or drawing classes, there’s plenty of room for groups of up to 20. A small outdoor courtyard offers a shaded place of respite or an extended outdoor instruction space.

The 2D Arts Studio contains professional arts equipment and tools, including steel easels, 6-foot tables, drying racks, paper cutters, stands and props for figure drawing, a variety of still-life objects, etching presses, and printing boards.

All of the staff at Arrowmont are phenomenal! I know it takes a lot of people and creative energy for programs like this to exist. The camaraderie that developed within our class over just a few days will fuel my soul for years.
