Discover the accessible and fun world of screen printing using simple, at-home materials. This workshop teaches you to create one-of-a-kind prints on paper and fabric using an embroidery hoop as your screen. Perfect for beginners, the class covers all the foundational techniques you'll need to start printing, from prepping your materials and creating stencils to mixing inks and pulling a print. You'll learn how to transform your own designs and create unique posters, apparel, or other projects with professional-looking results. This workshop is open to ages 16+.

Sam Lee Christian
Sam Lee Christian (They/Them) is a Richmond native finding every way to celebrate and preserve the inherent strength found at the intersection of black and queer identity. Christian uses multiple forms of media including Fiber (Quilting), ceramics and Printmaking to convey the chaos of queer childhood, the utility of black art and the need to preserve oneself in the face of adversity. Christian asks every viewer to question their ideas of liberation and community Care.
