The Boneyard: a History

A beloved feature of our Ceramic Studios is the clay boneyard. Started over 30 years ago, and now spanning almost every room in the West building, the boneyard features unglazed pottery from instructors, students and class collaborations. Walls of clay mugs, teapots, bowls, platters, and sculpture line the walls. Though you can’t take a piece home, we love when students capture and share this special collection online.
