Artist Bio
Dwayne Sackey
Based in Portland, Oregon, Dwayne Sackey is a functional potter working with atmospheric firing techniques. He earned a BFA from Oregon College of Art and Craft in 2019. Dwayne Sackey does not aim for “flawlessness” – his work leaves a trace of fluid, organic processes and a human set of hands. Gentle curves, textured surfaces, and meandering lines speak through expressive brush strokes, and luscious glazes.
