Artist Bio
Steve Théberge
Steve Théberge is a potter from western Massachusetts who creates stoneware intended for daily service on the table, shelf, or altar. His work is shown across the country and has been featured at prestigious events like the Smithsonian Craft Show and the Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show. Théberge's unique perspective is informed by his diverse background, which includes an apprenticeship with Mark Shapiro, a degree in Anthropology, and a period of training in Zen Buddhist monasteries in the United States and Japan. He currently maintains a studio in Northampton, Massachusetts, and is a host on the Asparagus Valley Pottery Trail.

Explore the Ceramics Studio
Located in the historic West Building, the Ceramic Studios are a multi-room complex dedicated to all our clay loving students. Featuring both a wheel throwing studio and hand-building studio, shared spaces between these classrooms include a hot box, electric kiln room, train kiln yard (soda and wood firing), and glaze room. With dedicated, professional studio staff on-hand to assist, Arrowmont is prepared to meet every knead – err need.
