Discover Your Next Inspiring Workshop

Arrowmont Turner Building in the FallNo two Arrowmont workshops or workshop seasons are alike. Our instructors educate each workshop topic, medium and materials – a reflection of their own practice and experience. This focus on creative exploration and out-of-the-box learning is just one of the many reasons the Arrowmont workshop experience is unlike any other.

Concentrated instruction in a small group format fosters a community-like atmosphere where students freely exchange ideas, support one another, and receive hands-on learning. Our 13-acres wooded campus, just steps from the Great Smoky Mountains in Gatlinburg, offers an artistic escape for students looking to break out of their everyday routine. Arrowmont is a safe place to dream and create – a place to find a lifetime of inspiration.

Workshop lengths vary from a few hours to 2-week intensives, with most offerings lasting one-week. Class sizes are typically capped at 10-12 to ensure students receive the dedicated time needed to develop new skills. Multi-day workshops are open to students 18 years old or older, at all skill levels unless indicated otherwise in the course description. One-Day Workshops offer seasonal options for the whole family (ages 5 and up).

*Workshops may require working with tools and equipment which, if improperly or carelessly used, can cause injury. All workshops will include a safety review to inform students about proper use of tools and equipment in the studio. By registering for a workshop, students assume the risk of working with the tools, equipment, and materials provided by Arrowmont, and neither the instructor, the school nor its employees will be responsible for injuries received by students as a result of the improper or careless use of those tools and equipment.

Testimonials

“This is the first time I’d ever done a workshop like this and I will have to do more now. It was an incredible week. I learned so much, the instructor was very knowledgeable and a great teacher, and the food was amazing. I hope to be back soon!”

– Jessica

“I gained lifelong friends, learned a new skill, and sorted through a lot of problems within my current body of work as an artist. Arrowmont was a glimpse into an art world that is not only professional but freeing, fun, passionate, KIND and friendly.”

– Carly

“I have attended Arrowmont workshops in the past, and each experience has been wonderful. Everyone was welcoming and helpful. My classroom experience exceeded my expectations. I am so excited about what I learned, and can’t wait to share this knowledge with the adults with special abilities that I work with in Mississippi.”
