Slip Decorated Salad Bowl

Overview

Students in this workshop will create a salad bowl using clay coils and the help of household objects to form the shape of the bowl. We will be using some interesting items to decorate with and will learn all the tips and tricks to decorate your bowl using resists with slip to make fun designs on your bowl.  Arrowmont staff will kiln fire all pieces. Students will be notified about pick up at a later date, or shipping is available through the Supply Store.

Course Fee : $65.00

Material fees are not included in our national workshop costs, but are included with the cost of our winter short workshops. A material list with estimated costs will be emailed about 30 days before the national workshop begins.

Artist Bio
Kelly Sullivan
Kelly Sullivan graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a BFA in Studio Art, with a concentration in printmaking. She currently resides in Knoxville, TN. Regardless of where she lives she finds a community where she can make art, learn new processes and teach what she is most passionate about. Kelly teaches in several locations in East Tennessee such as Arrowmont School of Arts & Crafts and Relay Ridge. When she is not teaching, she is getting involved in arts organizations like the Mayor’s Maker City Council, Tennessee Crafts Commission Professional Development Committee and Printmakers Anonymous.
