In this workshop, students will be guided through the complete process of building a beautiful fan-back Windsor chair, blending traditional hand skills with modern techniques. The workshop begins with preparing the material, including riving green wood and the crucial process of bending parts using steam. Students will then meticulously learn every stage of the build – the precise technique of shaping spindles, the art of carving the saddle seat, and the mechanical process of turning legs and stretchers using both basic and advanced methods.
