Arrowmont Craft Conversations: Jewelers Anne Havel and Deb Karash

Jewelry artists Anne Havel and Deb Karash taught side-by-side workshops at Arrowmont in 2021. The two joined Arrowmont Craft Conversations for a discussion of their work – the ways their different techniques can compliment the other’s workshop, their shared pursuit of color, and their experiences teaching and encouraging students in the studio and in the professional world.

Anne Havel is a Vermont based independent studio artist for 19 years. Work has recently been included in Contemporary Jewelry Design, by Loretta Lam and The Art of Fine Enameling, Second Edition, by Karen Cohen. Work is included in the permanent collection of the Enamel Arts Foundation as well as numerous private collections. Anne is treasurer of The Enamelist Society, Pocosin Arts, Enamel Guild North East, and a board member of the Society of North American Goldsmiths. annehavel.com
