Ashton Ludden

Ashton Ludden is an artist, educator, and community builder living and working in Knoxville, Tennessee. She holds a BFA in Engraving Arts & Printmaking from Emporia State University and an MFA in Printmaking from the University of Tennessee. Ludden specializes in the traditional crafts of wood and metal hand-engraving, printmaking, drawing, and sign painting. She is the founder, director, and artist at Relay Ridge, a collaborative artist space in Knoxville that features private studios, a gallery, and a community printshop. This space has grown into a rich community of local and visiting artists, offering affordable access to printmaking equipment and workshops, a flexible gallery, and studios. When she's not in her studio or teaching, she can be found hiking with her dog in the Cumberland Plateau, enjoying time with her partner, or talking about trees
