This year the Wildflower Pilgrimage Committee is looking for an image that showcases an iconic aspect of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Themes may include, but are not limited to, flora, fauna, and landscape. Preference will be given to pieces depicting the Park during the spring season. Acceptable media includes watercolor, gouache, pastel, colored pencil, oil, acrylic, printmaking, collage, or combinations of these media. Photography will not be accepted.
Submit entries via SlideRoom (arrowmont.slideroom.com) by October 14, 2016. The entry fee is $15 for up to two images. Submit image files jpg. format and no larger than 5MB.
The winning image will appear on the cover of the 2017 Wildflower Pilgrimage brochure, T-shirt and publicity. Original works by the winning artist will be exhibited in the Geoffrey A. Wolpert Gallery at Arrowmont from April 11 through May 13, 2017. The artist will receive free registration to the Wildflower Pilgrimage, free vendor’s booth, sales space in Mills Conference Center and free lodging and meals at Arrowmont during the event.

The Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage is a five-day event celebrating the diverse flora and fauna of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Natural history walks, motorcades, art classes and indoor seminars guided by professional leaders offer participants an array of informative experiences.
