ESTABLISHING THE STEVE AND CAROLYN GOTTLIEB SCHOLARSHIP FOR VETERANS

Arrowmont is not just a place for creativity – it is an experience that changes lives. For many, the opportunity to attend Arrowmont is transformational. Few stories are more moving than those of returning soldiers who have found new purpose at Arrowmont. They gain knowledge and community, and they give back.

Dr. Steve Gottlieb, President of Arrowmont’s Board of Governors, established one of the first endowed scholarships – the Steve and Carolyn Gottlieb Scholarship for Veterans. In a video interview, Dr. Gottlieb describes the origin of his involvement with Arrowmont, and the impact that the scholarship has achieved.

The Steve and Carolyn Gottlieb Scholarship for Veterans is part of Moving Mountains, the campaign to ensure Arrowmont’s future. Through this campaign, Arrowmont can expand the number of scholarships offered to returning soldiers. Currently, 12 scholarships are offered every year. We hope to offer 50 after the campaign goal is met.
