Jessica Callihan grew up on a dairy farm in Southern Michigan. She joined the United States Navy, but a training injury resulted in multiple surgeries. Callihan discovered a love of drawing and painting during her recovery. She joined Project Healing Waters, a program that teaches disabled veterans fly-fishing, which introduced her to Arrowmont through their scholarship program. Callihan’s subjects are drawn from childhood memories, nature scenery and fishing.
