Mary Obodzinski brings her love of beauty and tactility to this ceramic tea set with tray. Beyond functional pottery, Obodzinski marries clay with design and imagination to create her distinctive style. Each piece is handbuilt with terra cotta clay, coated with colored terra sigillata, and decorative steel tacks and wire are added before drying. Each piece is bisque-fired before the colored parts are washed with a black copper oxide. The interiors are treated with low-fire red glaze. This tea set is meant to be decorative but is food safe – perfect to decorate your mantel or serve at the table.
