This elegant, turned wooden vessel was crafted in the Arrowmont wood studios by Garrett Reece Barnett in 2013. Garrett used the natural, variegated colors of spalted maple wood to create the rich variation of tones and patterns found throughout this piece. He crafted a wide, flat lip around the edges of the bowl, producing a playful silhouette reminiscent of a top hat. The Barnett family gifted this piece to Starry Night 2022 to honor Garrett’s original intentions to benefit Arrowmont through his hand-crafted work.
