Handmade Paper, Envelopes, and Books, Oh My!

Paper & Books

Overview

Dive into the fascinating world of paper and bookmaking in this fun, introductory workshop. You'll begin by learning the traditional craft of papermaking, from preparing an even sheet with cotton and abaca pulp to adding dried flowers and other inclusions. Once your paper has dried, you will transform your handmade sheets into envelopes and cards. The class will then transition into bookbinding, teaching you to create two beginner-friendly books with your unique paper: a Japanese stab book with a paper cover and a Coptic stitch hardcover journal. This is the perfect class to learn a new craft and leave with beautiful, handmade creations. This workshop is open to ages 16+.
