Chain Dynamics

May 31 - June 5, 2026
Open to All Skill Levels
Metals, Jewelry

Overview

This workshop will focus on chain making using copper, brass, and/or sterling silver. While chain construction involves only basic metalworking techniques, it offers great potential, as the chain itself can become a complete, wearable jewelry piece. The workshop is open to all skill levels. Students will begin with demonstrations on essential techniques: annealing, wire forming, silver soldering, texturing, and basic wire forging. After practicing these fundamentals, students will be encouraged to explore various wire forms to create original, dynamic chain compositions, with an emphasis on incorporating three-dimensional elements. Each student will leave the workshop with several finished chain wearables.
