Introduction to Creative Exploration in Wood Turning

August 2 - 7, 2026
Open to All Skill Levels
Woodturning

Overview

In this workshop, students will develop the basic skills of turning wood on a lathe, building confidence and exploring the creative potential of the medium through spindle and bowl turning. This beginner-friendly workshop focuses on gaining familiarity with the lathe, safety, sharpening tools, basic cuts, wood selection, bowl blank preparation, and mounting techniques. Participants will learn, practice, and refine their techniques while completing multiple projects, including making bottle stoppers, carving mallets, LED votive lamps, natural-edge and traditional bowls. No previous woodturning experience is necessary, making this a beginner-friendly deep dive into the craft.

Course Fee : $852.00
